Hello

Julie Hundevad is an artist and animator, currently based in Odense, Denmark, who creates naturalistic oil paintings.

After finishing her bachelor in Character Animation at The Animation Workshop in 2022, she went on to work with studios such as Studio Soi in Germany and Copenhagen Bombay in Denmark, before turning her attention to oil painting and her own personal work, which generally explores people and nature in some combination.

"I'm very fascinated with motion," she says, "in that I show my animation background. I love seeing things move around. Generally I get inspired by observing some sort of movement, be it a dance, a leaf flowing in the wind, water rushing downhill or people rushing by. Every time i put pencil to paper or brush to canvas, it is generally with the goal of trying to capture motion in a single picture."
